They work closely with utility and infrastructure clients, providing project execution, administrative oversight, and specialized management support across the full project lifecycle. Our client frequently partners with external agencies to supplement staffing needs for large-scale, time-bound projects.

 

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Instrumentation and Electrical Construction Supervisor with over 20 years of industrial experience, including extensive supervisory leadership. Responsible for overseeing electrical and instrumentation installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, NEC, ISA, and applicable codes and standards. Provides technical coordination with contractors, vendors, and commissioning teams while ensuring accurate documentation, progress validation, and successful project execution through startup readiness.

 

Job Description

  • Reviews EPC Contractor’s and electrical and instrumentation subcontractors’ construction plans, schedule, and resource allocations.
  • Validate that field installation meets design and is in compliance with National Electric Code, International Society of Automation guidelines and all local and state codes and standards.
  • Oversees electrical and instrument terminations.
  • Oversees electrical testing.
  • Oversees instrument testing including loop-checks.
  • Coordinates with turnover and commissioning manager on energization and system testing readiness.
  • Witnesses critical inspections and start-up preparations.
  • Tracks discipline punch list items to closure.
  • Validates that documentation and drawings accurately reflect field installations.
  • Provide technical interface with OEM vendors as needed.
  • Participates in Progress Validation efforts to determine actual progress to date.

 

Skills Required

  • A minimum of 20 years of experience in industrial instrument, electrical, and controls construction, ten of those in a supervisory position.
  • Preferred candidates will have completed an IBEW apprenticeship or NCCER equivalent and
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Interpretation of instrumentation and electrical construction drawings and specifications

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High School Degree or GED
  • Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering Degree preferred

Pay Rate/Salary

  • Pay Rate $65-80/ hr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
