Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join a dynamic manufacturing team. This role is responsible for assembling and testing mechanical products across multiple product lines, identifying and resolving technical issues, and contributing to ongoing process improvements. The ideal candidate will be experienced in interpreting blueprints, working with hand tools, and performing quality checks to ensure precision and product integrity.

 

Job Description

  • Assemble components across various product lines using appropriate tools and fixtures.
  • Perform functional testing on assembled products to ensure quality and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assembly and testing issues independently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure proper assembly specifications.
  • Identify and correctly handle mechanical components during assembly.
  • Use hand tools, rework techniques, and operate equipment according to required tolerances.
  • Record accurate labor transactions and maintain assembly records.
  • Adhere to safety standards and quality procedures throughout all phases of assembly.
  • Utilize principles and tools from the Manufacturing System to support continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Skills Required

  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Proficient with hand tools, measurement instruments, and mechanical rework techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.

 

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred.
