Job Summary

We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Payroll Assistant. You will be responsible for processing payroll for hourly and salaried employees, managing wage garnishments, and ensuring accurate benefits deductions. This role conducts payroll audits to maintain data integrity, prepares property payroll transfer reports, and provides accounting support to the leadership team.

 

Job Description

  • Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Accurately enter and pay all wage garnishments on time.
  • Verify and update benefits deductions.
  • Prepare and process property payroll transfer reports.
  • Conduct payroll audits to maintain accuracy and data integrity.
  • Review and analyze retroactive pay calculations.
  • Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2s, reconciliations, and reports.
  • Assist leadership with payroll and accounting-related projects.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries.

 

Skills Required

  • Atleast 2+ years experience in timekeeping and payroll processing (i.e., Garnishments, Taxes, Year end activities).
  • Analytical skills related to retro calculations of pay and time required as well as the ability to work with multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Intermediate to advance skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High school diploma or GED required, associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

 

Additional Requirements

  • Shift Time: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

 

Pay Rate

  • Up to $33.00 per hour depending on experience
