Job Summary
The Network Model Analyst is responsible for processing Network Operations Model Change Requests (NOMCR), Collaborative Action Model Requests (CAMR), and Resource Services Change Requests (RSCR). This role develops and maintains graphical representations of approved change requests within the Energy Management System (EMS) to ensure the Network Operations Model remains accurate and up to date. The position coordinates closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to manage model updates, one-line diagrams, and scheduling priorities.
Job Description
- Process and manage NOMCR, CAMR, and RSCR submissions to ensure timely and accurate updates to the Network Operations Model
- Develop, update, and maintain EMS one-line displays in accordance with established protocols
- Coordinate change request workflows and one-line creation schedules within the Network Model Group and across internal departments
- Apply established procedures and analytical methods to review submitted model data and resolve issues efficiently
- Support departmental objectives by contributing to assigned projects and operational goals
- Analyze submitted NOMCR, CAMR, and RSCR data and provide prompt, effective responses to internal and external customer inquiries
- Coordinate change request process flow with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Update production and future one-line diagrams as required by governing protocols
- Facilitate and resolve model data issues with market participants and other stakeholders
- Attend, observe, and represent Network Model Coordination at working group meetings and other relevant forums
- Collaborate with external generation resources on RSCR submissions and generation mapping (GenMap) data for metering purposes
- Work closely with internal departments including System Operations, System Operations Support, Market Operations Support, Client Services, Metering, and related teams
- Create GenMap packages and coordinate submissions with generation resource owners
- Develop and utilize data mining tools and recommend system or process improvements
Job Skills Required
- Minimum of three (3) years of job-related work experience beyond degree requirements
- Ability to analyze and interpret Network Operations Model Change Requests (NOMCR), Collaborative Action Model Requests (CAMR), and Resource Services Change Requests (RSCR)
- Experience working with Energy Management Systems (EMS), including creation and maintenance of one-line diagrams
- Understanding of power system network models, generation resources, and related model data
- Strong data analysis and validation skills to ensure accuracy and consistency of network models
- Experience with data mining techniques and identifying process or system improvements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word) and general computer applications
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to respond effectively to internal and external customer inquiries
- Experience facilitating issue resolution with market participants or external partners
- Ability to represent the team in meetings, working groups, and coordination forums
- Strong understanding of structured workflows and change management processes
- Ability to coordinate schedules and prioritize multiple model updates simultaneously
- Experience collaborating across multiple internal departments and external stakeholders
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and regulatory or protocol-driven requirements
- Ability to identify data inconsistencies, modeling issues, and procedural gaps
- Strong troubleshooting skills related to model data and system representations
- Ability to apply established principles and practices to resolve routine and moderately complex issues
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage day-to-day schedules and meet deadlines
- Capability to work independently while contributing to team objectives
Education
- Associate’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field required
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
