Job Summary

The Facilities Services Technician is responsible for performing daily cleaning and sanitation duties across occupied buildings at the BGCAPP site to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment. Working under minimal supervision, this role adheres to company policies, operates cleaning equipment, and supports quality and safety standards. The position requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work setting

 

Job Description

  • Perform daily janitorial duties in occupied buildings across the BGCAPP site with minimal supervision.
  • Adhere to company and departmental policies and objectives.
  • Exercise initiative, discretion, diplomacy, accuracy, and sound judgment in daily tasks.
  • Interface with supervisor to resolve questions or problems that arise.
  • Assist in the development of processes and procedures to improve or maintain service quality and safety standards.
  • Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Office Services Manager and/or O&AS Manager, and as requested by team members.

 

Skills Required

  • 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Prior janitorial experience in an operations environment.
  • Knowledge of equipment, products, chemicals and materials to perform job.
  • Must Ability to perform multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proactive with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use initiative and follow assignments through to completion.
  • Ability to work overtime on short notice.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proven team player.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety policies and procedures.
  • Basic computer knowledge.

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High School Diploma and GED

 

Additional Requirements

  • US Citizenship required. 
  • Valid driver’s license required.

 

Pay Rate/Salary

  • Pay Rate $25-42/ hr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
