Job Summary

This role supports daily greenhouse operations, environmental controls, irrigation systems, and research activities. The position involves maintaining greenhouse systems, assisting with planting and harvesting activities, supporting research trials, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards. A minimum of two years of related experience is preferred.
Job Description
- Learn and operate greenhouse environmental control systems, including irrigation programming and alarm evaluation.
- Perform routine functionality checks and troubleshooting of greenhouse chambers, environmental systems, equipment, light racks, and bulbs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping floors, organizing work areas, managing supplies, and performing hose and nozzle checks.
- Clean and maintain evaporative cooling system components.
- Provide daily support for planting, sampling, pollinations, and harvesting activities.
- Assist with research setup and takedown activities, including installing irrigation systems, collecting data as part of a collaborative research team, and removing, cleaning, and maintaining equipment after experiments.
- Contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of greenhouse operation protocols.
- Support work across other greenhouse sites as needed.
- Attend project and group meetings as required.
- Provide timely communication regarding updates, issues, and operational changes.
- Follow all sanitation standards, safety requirements, and company policies.
Skills Required
- Strong organizational, observational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multi-project team.
- High attention to detail with strong task prioritization skills.
- Basic math competency.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience or related experience is preferred.
Education/Training/Certifications
- Willingness to obtain Ag Worker Training.
- Willingness to obtain Pesticide Handler Training.
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a drug screening and criminal background checks
- Shift Start Time: 07:000 AM
- Interest in greenhouse operations, plant propagation, and irrigation systems.
- Ability to work in greenhouse, field, and laboratory environments, including physically demanding or adverse conditions.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and lift materials for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently, including weekends and some holidays.
Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $18.88 to $26.88 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.”
