Job Summary

We are seeking an early-career Engineer (Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum) to support the development, testing, and improvement of engineering systems and products in a high-pressure environment. This role combines hands-on mechanical work, laboratory testing, and analytical problem-solving to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.

 

Job Description

  • Assist in developing innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions
  • Support planning, execution, and evaluation of projects to meet objectives on time
  • Build, assemble, and test prototypes, tools, and systems for lab and field applications
  • Set up and run simulations and performance tests, including high-pressure systems (up to 4000 PSI)
  • Monitor equipment performance, especially pressure systems, and make precise adjustments as needed
  • Analyze data, develop mathematical models, and draw engineering conclusions
  • Document test results and prepare technical reports and presentations
  • Troubleshoot equipment, perform repairs, and assist in equipment maintenance
  • Apply usability principles and engineering best practices in design and development
  • Participate in technical reviews of requirements, designs, and test procedures
  • Maintain accurate product and project documentation
  • Support field operations and provide technical assistance to customers
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, risk evaluation, and innovation initiatives
  • Collaborate with technicians and provide guidance as needed
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and engineering practices
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, technical documentation, and process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Shift: M-F 8:00am-5:00pm

 

Skills Required

  • 1–3 years of relevant engineering experience
  • High-pressure hydraulic systems (up to 4000 PSI)
  • Drilling fluids (mud systems), including building and verifying properties
  • Mechanical systems assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting
  • Laboratory and field testing environments
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability
  • Knowledge of drilling fluids and mud property testing
  • Ability to safely work with high-pressure systems
  • High attention to detail, especially when monitoring and adjusting equipment
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical documentation
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
  • Comfortable working in lab and field environments
  • Curious mindset with a desire to understand underlying engineering principles
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering

 

Pay Rate

  • $38 - $43 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
