Business Systems Analyst - ERP Finance Applications

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Business Systems Analyst - ERP Finance Applications for permanent position with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location

The successful candidate will be required to work on-site at the customer headquarters in Gatineau, QC, on a hybrid basis.

Key Tasks

• Provide daily support to stakeholders on new requests or incidents related to Financial Applications
• As part of a team of BSA’s support/maintain an ERP and other Financial Applications by performing such functions as application configuration, troubleshooting of complex incidents and development of new features
• Develop hands on knowledge of the ERP and other Financial Applications to investigate issues, identify root causes, recommend, and drive resolutions
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with Business System Owners and End Users to analyze information needs and functional requirements
• Perform and review system configurations to ensure the configuration of the functional modules align with the designed business processes and perform updates as required
• Act as the liaison between Finance, Operational business units, Technology teams and Vendors
• Proactively identify areas for improvement regarding the financial applications and existing or new business processes
• Facilitate the collection of business requirements, understand, analyze, and translate them into system requirements, configurations, and customizations
• Participate in the collection and presentation of evidence to support the organization’s audit cycles

Key Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5+ years of professional experience in a finance/accounting role or similar experience as a Business Analyst, serving mainly the accounting/finance group
• Strong knowledge and experience with ERP Finance Corporate Systems/Applications, this includes a basic knowledge of IT application troubleshooting and a basic level of technical knowledge of PL/SQL
• Strong knowledge of core ERP enabled business cycles, more specifically accounting, procurement and accounts payables cycles

Assets

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
• Finance, Accounting or related degree would be considered
• Computer Science experience with formal training in the areas of ERP systems
