Position Profile

Position objective:

 

As part of Impellam Group North America’s Corporate Finance team, the Business Analyst (Financial Planning) plays a pivotal role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this role partners closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis (F&P) team to support business stakeholders through advanced financial modelling, reporting, and forecasting. The analyst also collaborates cross-functionally with other teams within the financial remit to evaluate performance drivers, streamline processes, and enhance strategic planning. This position contributes directly to Impellam’s mission of delivering specialist staffing solutions by ensuring financial insights are aligned with operational goals and growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

 

 

Overview:

  • Perform annual planning and monthly financial forecasting in partnership with finance leadership
  • Analyze historical and current data to identify key performance drivers in relation to plan and forecast
  • Develop complex financial models to support leadership decision making for various business models
  • Support creation of financial materials for management reviews and meetings
  • Evaluate business processes to identify gaps and areas of improvement to drive increased efficiency
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to support special projects or in response to requests from various parts of the business
  • Maintain the monthly commissions process

Education and qualification

Essential:

Bachelor’s Degree

Work experience and attributes:

Essential:

  • 2-3 years of accounting, finance or data analytics experience
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel modeling skills
  • Experience working with and manipulating large data sets as well as data visualization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial topics
  • Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Results oriented with ability to learn quickly in fast a paced environment
