Helmet House is the leading U.S. distributor of helmets and apparel in the Motorcycle and Powersports industry. We are searching for an Inventory Planner to join our Merchandising Team.

 

Our Company was founded in 1969 and has its headquarters and a distribution center in Calabasas Hills, CA along with an eastern distribution point in Southaven, MS. Our digital marketing team is located in Lake Oswego, OR. For decades Helmet House has supplied Powersports Dealers across the U.S. with two of the world’s top helmet brands. Helmet House is the exclusive US supplier for SHOEI Helmets, Sidi boots, Kriega, Fasthouse, FXR and Kiddiemoto, while also distributing HJC, Alpinestars, 100%, Molecule, Pinlock, Cardo, Quad Lock, Insta360 and Sena to motorcycle dealerships in the United States. The Tourmaster, Cortech, and NORU motorcycle apparel brands are manufactured and marketed directly by Helmet House. PURPOSE OF THE JOB 

Helmet House is looking for an Inventory Planner to manage inventory levels, analyze sales trends and plan future buys. The Inventory Planner will collaborate with merchandising, to meet inventory needs and maintain healthy stock levels, while meeting customer demand.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

 

  • Use inventory reports and sales data to identify trends and assist you to make an informed decision in purchasing decisions and identify key opportunities.
  • Maintain inventory levels while avoiding an overstock or understock position.
  • Working within the OTB constraints
  • Use historical data and demand patterns to achieve sales forecasts
  • Review assortment to provide SKU count guidance for End or Life.
  • Vendor communications
  • Wholesale planning and forecasting

 Requirements

              Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in apparel planning, merchandising or related roles.
  • Experience in inventory management and in data analysis is preferred but not mandatory.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong analytical and retail math skills.
  •  Proficiency in Excel advanced or better preferred.  Proficient in X-look up, pivot tables, plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with retail planning and ERPs systems is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Retail Management, Merchandising, Business, or related field.

 

Salary Range:

  • 65k to 75k depending on skills and experience
